Metro Chamber names annual Business Award winners
Small Business of the Year Arch Technologies

Suzi Sherman founded Arch Technologies in 2002 with Thomas Davis and Sandy Pratali. The company was tailored specifically for small businesses and their unique technological needs and budgets.
Sherman, a Sacramento native, had an early passion in theater arts and dance but found her career home in the information technology field in 1995 during her employment with The Money Store.
Her work at Transamerica also provided her access to a wide variety of business processes and technologies before she started her own business. Using her aptitude for technology led to what Michael Gerber calls an entrepreneurial spasm in 2001 when she struck out on her own to consult for large and small businesses in Sacramento, before starting Arch Technologies a year later.
Arch Technologies has hundreds of clients all over the Sacramento region and helps them leverage their technology assets without having to invest in an IT department of their own.
This company specializes in addressing their clients needs in a very specific way and their skills range from simple repairs and assessment of a small business current technology systems to developing and programming custom web-enabled applications and secure enterprises class network infrastructures, all available an hour at a time.

"Small Business Person of the Year"

Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento Metro Chamber hosted their small business awards Wednesday, May 18 at the Sacramento Convention Center during Business Expo 2005. The chamber's Small Business Advisory Committee considered 63 companies for the six categories that featured hard-working and innovative small businesses. Ms. Sherman was honored to be nominated for three of the six categories, but ultimately took home the coveted Small Business Person of the Year award.
Sam Driggers, Metro Chamber's Director of Business and Economic Development explains, Overall criteria used to judge nominees included the record of job creation or business expansion, use of small business resources to improve operations, community involvement, business reputation, uniqueness of business model and challenges or hurdles overcome in growing the business.
Arch Technologies and Suzi Sherman would like to congratulate her fellow winners and nominees on their success.
